On Nov. 3, 2021, Shaw University launched the first of six new food pantries on campus, with support from corporate partner Food Lion, whose representatives presented a $15,000 check to the university. These funds will help combat food insecurities experienced by students on Shaw’s campus.
Shaw University is the HBCU that the Raleigh (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated supports. We asked our friends and family to join us in purchasing at least 200 of the $5 Food Lion Feeds boxes. The boxes could be purchased at any of your local Food Lion stores between November 10th and December 14th, and Food Lion Feeds will donate to our local food bank.
