Rev. Jackson serves as CEO of Arise Collective. Arise is a Raleigh-based nonprofit that equips women with tools and support to heal, grow, and thrive,both in prison and in the communities to which they return. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from four part-time staff to a staff of 19, serving over 500 women annually.
She launched the Women's Reentry Project through which women receive safe and supportive housing coupled with trauma-informed and holistic wraparound services. She has expanded services to incarcerated mothers and justice-impacted families.
Rev. Jackson previously served as Vice President of Human Resources at Safe Horizon, one of the nation's leading victim services organizations,and directed a U.S. Department of Justice-funded project on public-private partnerships in victim assistance. She serves or has served on the Bob Barker Company Foundation Advisory Committee, the Wake County Local Reentry Council Executive Committee, among others. Jennifer believes deeply in the power of forgiveness to transform hearts and minds. Rev. Jackson and Arise have been invaluable in the success of one of the Raleigh Chapter’s major initiatives.
