The History of The Raleigh (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated

The Raleigh (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered on April 18, 1949 to serve the Wake County community. The chapter was organized by Link Julia B. Delany and founded with 14 members. As the tenth club of The Links, the Raleigh Chapter is one of the original 14 clubs, later known as chapters, of The Links, Incorporated.

Julia B. Delany served as the organizer and first president of the Raleigh (NC) Chapter. As one of the original chapters, the Raleigh Chapter participated in the nationalization of The Links. Julia B. Delany was among the first national officers of the organization and was selected as the first National Parliamentarian.

Today, the Raleigh (NC) Chapter includes 50 professional women actively involved in service throughout the community. All members are accomplished professionals and experts in their chosen fields.

Members of the Raleigh Chapter extend their service beyond the organization by serving as board members, officers, and leaders in a wide range of community and civic organizations. These include, but are not limited to:

Raleigh Arts Association

This collective civic involvement strengthens partnerships and amplifies the chapter’s impact across Raleigh and Wake County.
